• Who often have special needs that are difficult to find, like cotton clothing, fragrance free items etc
• And generally like to do what we can to help others with Chronic illnesses !

But we're not all disabled, some of our members come to share their skills and talents with the disabled too! Anyone who is interested in assisting those who are chronically ill are welcome here.

The purpose of the list is to:

• Let others know about your home business or service
• Offer items you make for sale or swap
• Offer to swap things of interest, like postcards, bookmarks, etc that you collect.
• Swap or sell anything, like that pair of pants you bought and didn't fit but you couldn't return
• Request items or services you're looking for
  

But there's more! We are a Christian based group who is both concerned about the welfare of those who are chronically ill. We understand that society as a whole, including churches are not very informed about what its like to live with a chronic illness. They don't know much about our illnesses, often they've heard very little about them and so don't understand how limiting they are. We share advocacy ideas, discuss ways in which we can educate those around us and encourage organization of ministries to the chronically ill by youth groups, churches and the community. Many people with chronic illnesses have very limited budgets. Some are on disbility or assistance. Some dont' even have that. Many times these people loose their homes, can't buy the medications and aids they need or even groceries. We hope to be able to reach out and help where we can, by helping to make phone calls or referrals of names of agencies and churches that may assist as well as even putting together 'care packages' ourselves when possible. Therefore you will also find these on the list:

• Prayer requests for those you've meet that are in dire straights and need a helping hand
• (of course prayer requests of any nature)
• Posts related to advocacy issues and educating others and political issues related to disability
