We are a small group of christians who belong to an e-list called Cmcs-EI. We all have some kind of invisible illness like Multiple Chemical Sensativities, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Lupus, Multiple Sclerosis, Depression or other types of illnesses that are chronic and debilitating. Many of us
are homebound; we get sicker when we leave our homes whether that be due to exposure to various chemicals or environmental factors. Some of us can't leave home much because of extreme, total exhaustion. Still others can't leave their homes due to other factors. But it is not being homebound that we have most in common (some are not homebound). It's that we have illnesses that are chronic and that are not generally understood by the public or even within the Christian community. This list has become a place for making new friends and keeping in touch with old, for posting prayer requests and discussing other things of interest. Most of all it is a place where you know you are understood without having to go into long detailed explainations about why it is you do what you do....and that is MOST stress-reducing! If you have an invisiible illness or care about someone who does this is the list for you!
