| We believe that all youth should be guaranteed the right to an
education.
We believe that each youth's learning style must be respected.
We believe that each youth is unique in the way that he/she
develops socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically. All these
areas are interrelated and of equal importance in the youth's
development.
We believe that, whenever possible, youth learn best from
self-directed problem solving and experimentation, which fosters the
development of:
- an appreciation of learning of outdoor issues
- respect and caring for self, others and community social
responsibility
- positive sense of self
We believe that the dignity and worth of the family must be
respected and enhanced at all times.
We believe that individuals and families are unique and that
we must strive to be responsive to these inherent differences.
We believe that every individual has the right to be treated
with respect and validated for their contributions to the program. Each
staff person is considered to be an integral part of the team.
