     This whole Pokemon
gig seems worthwhile. It... It seems honorable.
Yoshi6400: The
fourth page of the memorial. The ending is near, but I'm
sure my memories will last on for quite some time. If wou
really wanted to know what PFX was all about, you just
have a few more sections to to through...
STUFF TO SAY...
My
first experiences at PFX three years ago also happened to
be some of my first experiences online. I think that
because of that, an impression was left on me about what
a Pokémon site should be. I'm not just talking about the
original art and layout, but the creative vision and the
soul behind the site as well. I consider it unfortunate
that no Pokémon site since PFX has been able to live up
to it, at least in my humble opinion.
Many of my fond memories of PFX stem from the forums,
which were well-moderated and filled with nice people. I
believe that if there's one uplifting thing that may have
stemmed from the demise of PFX, it's that when it was to
move on, some of those forum members moved on together,
and stayed together as a community... even after almost
three years.

Metronome (January 2002)
I got color for my 15th
birthday when I was at the forums...and now IM 18! Wow...what
a time! PFX was one of my first internet sites as well...and
so I know exactly what you mean when you say you looked
for a pokemon site to match it and never found it.
Everyone out there had stolen images and layouts that
were naive and simple and EXACTLY the same...no creative
genious, no fresh ideas....no nice people...all cocky
bastards who were really cocky for no reason.
PFX...grand place with great people. And hey! So many of
us are still together. ^_^

If
you know anything about Pokemon Forest, you'll know that
the editor's a big fan of the blue guy. You just had to,
expect some serious shell-kissing writing.

POKéSTA
Welcome to Pokémon Stadium, Japanese Version. I quote:
"This is a crude translation of the menus of Pokemon
Stadium. I would have posted them earlier, but I had been
told not to give it out until it was published on the web.
The site now no longer exists, so I will post it anyways.
Atrius, if you're out there, please forgive me."
ANIME
The Anime section was a part of PFX that was set
up to deal with Japanese Animation in general. Obviously,
it didn't really have anything to do with Pokémon. The
page contained reviews of different series every month,
including detailed descriptions and places to get copies
of episodes so people could go around and view things for
themselves.
VIDEO GAMES
If there's a section that talks about Non-Pokémon shows,
there has to be a section that talks about Non-Pokémon
games... Video Games showed that there were some
other cool/interesting games out there to play other than
Pokémon. Of course, that didn't stop NobleStrifeStudio
from sticking in some Pokémon related content in from
time to time.
HIDDEN STUFF
Pokémon Forest X had quite a bit of hidden stuff lying
around the site that people wouldn't be able to find
unless they looked carefully around pages. For example,
there were two secret image galleries with pictures from
Mewtwo Strikes Back and Pikachu's Vacation.(This was
before "Pokémon: The First Movie" came out
here mind you.)
CLOSING STATEMENTS
To be honest, I never
intended to do anything big with my Pokemon website. It
wasn't even originally mine. Back in 1998, some guy
started a Pocket Monsters web site and it just looked so...exotic.
I had never seen anything so damn cute. I saw that
he had a picture of some little yellow bunny rabbit and I
new that if I tried, I could draw something infinitely
better. So I drew him a cool Pikachu and impressed him.
Eventually, I convinced him that if he let me take over
the site, I'd update with tons of new pictures. Well, he
pretty much gave me the keys to his website and I kept my
promise. I remember drawing over 100 images for the first
site version alone. Looking back now, it seems like a
long time ago--heck, I was technically still a teen back
then. but I had good intentions and did alot of
work. I learned web design, I improved my drawing
skills, I even learned how to hack. . .a little.
Somehow, I'm still not sure, I managed to get some of the
best young talent to help me out with the site.
Above the visitors and the recognition, I had always
wanted a team I could count on--and PFX gave me that.
I would like to thank everyone who helped me have such a
great time with PFX. All of you, including our
wonderful visitors, were a part of a special
personal history that will never fade, no matter how it
ended. Thank you.

Yoshi6400:
Well, that's it. I hope you enjoyed looking through this
place. I sure did enjoy making it. A special thanks goes
to Eric Zaragoza, the creator of PFX and head of
NobleStrifeStudio. Without the archived works he sent me,
this memorial would have never been possible.
