YoshiWorld Online

Downloads, downloads, downloads... Gotta have a place for them and here it is. In here, you can find this:

In the US version of Final fantasy III, the bosses were way too easy. Especially if the player actually takes the time to reach leval 99. The Genji Glove + Offering combo coupled with spells like Ultima dealt immense amounts of damage(from 9999 to around 79992), too much for many things to survive... After all, the highest the HP that any monster/boss could ever reach was 65535. So, I decided to look around and see if there were ways to create original enemies with more strength and HP. I eventually found this site and began to work on my creation, Seiryuu. After completing this first creation, I went on and added more to the patch. Now joining Seiryuu is the Dark Knight of Vanda himself, Culex. He has defeated Hidon and critically blasted Gungho. Do you want to be next?

Seiryuu (Pronounced shi-re-you), whose name means "Holy Dragon" or "Blue Dragon", is an imortal dragon in Japanese legend. In legend, he was a great and powerful beast, even strong enough to banish the dragon king, Ryu-O, from his throne. Seiryuu reigns over the East, controlling warfare, the season of Spring, and the element of metal. He is generally a benevolent dragon, but he will never back down from a fight or a challenge.

Culex (Pronounced cue-lex) is a being not from this dimension, but from a world only known by the name of Vanda. He transverses dimensions looking for new challenges as well as other inhabitable worlds for his kind. Accompanying him in this quest are four protective crystals with powers based of the four magical elements Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water. Culex was last seen in the world where Mario, Luigi, and the ever popular Yoshi resided. Now he appears in the Final Fantasy III/VI world...

Magitek Dragon (Pronounced maa-gee-te-k d-ra-gon) is an ultimate Magitek creation with a little surprise. This one has the mind and soul of Sylph, the Esper used to power its core, residing within it. During the attack on the Magitek Facility by the Returners, Sylph powered up her new body and escaped blasting out through an alternate route. After that, she began a new life as the Magitek Dragon.

With the finest Magitek systems, a regenerating Magitek body, the full powers of an Esper, and the will to survive, this dragon can be a formidible opponent.

Modified or Custom Specials:
Dark Star   Defense ignoring magical blast with a devastating attribute.
Shock Wave   A blue flame trails along the ground and hits the opponent. It can now cast Mute and Slow on the target.
HyperDrive   A yellow flame trails along the ground and crashes into the opponent, causing a deadly red explosion.
Goner+   An extreme blast of energy. This version casts Slow, Freeze, Seizure, Dark, and Condemned on the targets as well as damaging them.
Ultima   There's a small change to it somewhere... Can you find it?
Circle   Want to be de-molecularized into a Magicite crystal and then erased from existance? Try it. One more thing: If you miraculously survive the shot, you'll be plastered with practically every bad status effect there is. OUCH!
Refuel   Need... more... eneregy... (Not used in patch yet)
Magnum   The black wind howls... One among you will shortly perish... (Not used in patch yet)
ShldBreakr   Critical strike that slices a hole in defensive status. (Not used in patch yet)
RocketPnch   Remember Omega from FF5j? Remember that attack that causes confusion and cuts 50% of current HP from the enemy? If you don't remember, it doesn't matter...
Corona   An intense blast of flame energy.
Mega Flare   Since Bahamut uses "Sun Flare" in this game... (Not used in patch yet)
FlareBlade   The attack is so brilliant that after the flash, you won't be able to see yourself. (Not used in patch yet)
Quasar   A flashy galactic attack that can cause some serious mutations. It now casts Imp, Poison, Slow, Condemned, and Seizure on the targets as well as damaging them.
Atomic Ray   Radioactive beams that will deal various status effects as well as damage.

Where to find these challenges:
Seiryuu - The World of Ruin(2nd Half of the Game), the Dinosaur Forest.
Culex - Ebot's Rock, in place of Hidon.
M-tek Drgn - In the next patch Release.

What now?
Well, if you do want to try the battle out, you can get the patch
here. It is possible to patch a ROM of the Final Fantasy 3 (US version) game and play it through from the beginning until you reach the World of Ruin, but it would be a bit easier to play through the normal game and patch it once you reach the location. Either way, you gotta play the game(It is a great game, so PLAY IT.) If you do decide to play through a patched ROM from the beginning, please ignore the messed up jumble at the bottom right corner of the minimap...

What you need to use the patch:
The Patch(Release 5)
The Patching Utility(Not really needed if you get Zsnes)
A ROM of FF3us(Go find and download it yourself)
A SNES Emulator(go to
www.zsnes.com to get one)

That's it. Good luck in trying to beat Seiryuu. It may take a bit of strategy though... You can't just go in and simply bash through the battle.

Note: You do need an emulator to play the ROM and the patching utility may be needed in order to use my patch. You should also note that getting ROMs just to avoid buying games is quite illegal support the video game industry and buy stuff! Also, if I am ever asked by Nindendo or Square to remove this patch from my site, it will go, no questions asked. Oh and finally, the Final Fantasy series is © Square.
