William “Bill” Zuk is an author, filmmaker, historian, photographer and artist. He has spent much of his life as an educator, sharing his passion for writing, history and aviation with both chldren and adults.

Bill serves as the Executive Officer and Training Coordinator for the Manitoba Aviation Council. In his role as a training coordinator, he developed a training syllabus for the Manitoba aviation industry and facilitated and administered the training program from pilot project to full implementation. He is a current member of the Canadian Aviation Historical Society, and a volunteer and consultant at the Western Canada Aviation Museum. The flying saucer he built for the Discovery Canada television documentary now resides there.

Working primarily as a teacher/librarian for several Manitoba school divisions, Bill also taught Art, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. He created new libraries in three different school divisions and developed systems and programing for librairies as well as integrating a computer curriculum. For three years, he served as the Chair of the Professional Development Committee for the Manitoba School Library Association. HIn the field of research, he analyzed educational materials for the Manitoba Textbook Bureau, Television Ontario, Manitoba Department of Education and Prentice-Hall of Canada. Curricula he designed include the Family Treasures Project, Story-Vine literature enrichment program, Convention Game, Election Simulation and Student Activity Blocks.

During a two year period, Bill was the co-chair of I Love to Read Days Reading Festivals in Winnipeg. He was the public relations coordinator for a Canadian Images 2 Conference and an Association of Media and Technology in Education in Canada conference.

For over thirty years, he has been the owner/operator of Timeless Memories Photography, and has served for ten years as the official photographer for the Winnipeg International Air Show.

Bill received his Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education and Masters of Education from the University of Manitoba.
