Mr. Dime says to the audience that
he cancelled WTYO and nearly introduces the next
show and suddenly Christine, Kevin Schenk, Kevin
Somers and Jono Gebert break through the TV
screen and have a feeling that their boss doesn't
like them too much before the opening credits
starts to roll.
Then
Ross anounces that he closed the studio and the
kids are not getting paid but going on vacation
with him.
But suddenly a casting director for a TV
commercial named Roger talks to Mr Dime about
hiring one of the kids for their cereal
commercial by the name of Kevin so Mr. Dime calls
up Miss Take to find Kevin Somers.
Ross demands the kids to return to the studio
while they're in the cafeteria and Lois is
surprised that they licked all their plates clean
due to depression on the studio being closed.
Ross tricks Kevin Somers into having him for an
agent for commercials but cons him into paying
him 20 dollars in advance.
Kevin Schenk tries to get Ross into putting him
in the commercial but he refuses and then Roger
along with Miss Time asks Kevin to come onto the
stage to try out for the part of the commercial
and so Somers comes dressed in a suit and dances
on the stage but Roger however isn't happy with
him due to his size so he tells him to get off
the stage and asks for the runt Schenk as he
tells him he's going to have his own commercial
while Somers cries on Christine's shoulder.
Roger demands Schenk to eat the cereal and smile
but he says the cereal is gross and refuses to
eat it unless he pays him but of course Roger
tells him they are paying him and to eat it and
smile so Kevin gives a fake cheesy smile.
Next Schenk takes a motuh full and a toy dinosaur
bites his mouth which is the prize inside.
Then he is asked to eat a bowl of dirt which is
why the cereal is called Whole Earth and Schenk
is about to gulp down a worm.
Schenk finally does his part right when he talks
about Whole Earth cereal but when he takes a
mouth full the dinosaur bites his mouth but still
carries on even if he was in pain and Mr. Dime is
happy that his commercial finally aired and tells
Miss Take about it and what his sponsor said.
Suddenly
Roger wants to shoot another commercial and good
ole Mom played by Ruth Buzzi about her pies as
she pies Somers and Christine in the face when
they comment on her pies that they're not like
the way as Janie's Mom's pies and so she asked
Janie's Mom what she uses and tell her that she
uses McSplat's Deep and Delicious pies but then
she is about to pie Schenk in the face with that
brand but Schenk is hesitant but demands him to
say his speech which is asking if he can have
more pie and splats him in the face and then
repeats the pie in the face with them on
McSplat's Pies telling her they always ask for
more although Schenk tries to prevent being
splattered in the face again.
Other
memorable skits include Kevin Schenk asking his
father if he can watch some educational TV and he
refuses as he tells him he has to watch all the
commercials.
Then
there's a Canadian Express Card that the Mother
tries to give Senator Prevort in the dungeon for
not paying her fee's.
Jono
eats his food in the cafeteria making out that is
loves the food and Lois asks if he wants a second
plate on the house but Jono tells her the food is
still gross as he was practising for a
commercial.
Miss
Fidt demands Kevin Somers to take a bite of his
ceral and talk with his mouth full while telling
her an answer to a question if he wants to get a
success in a commerical gig.
The
old lady in the theatre blows her nose on her
shirt when Christine asks her if she has a
kleenex and she tells her she does but not for
her.
Jono
and Kevin Somers are chained up in a dungeon as
Jono needs to go to the bathroom but has to wait
till the commerical break.

This full episode
exists but it's only a promotional copy thanks to
the old CTV studio which they had stored away.
The show has a time counter on it and doesn't
have the music for the opening and closing
credits along with the music for the commercial
breaks. Plus the canned laughter wasn't added to
top it off but it's in crystal clear quality.
There's also a YTV taping in 1989 by Dan
Savoie but there's a light buzzing sound in the
backgrapund and Alma Faye's performance was cut
out due to some technical problems while taping
it. The quality was a 7 out of a 10.
We have Alma
Faye Brooks performing without a
back up band on the dome stage since there are
disco dancers performing with her which gave a
nice 70's magical feel to the show.
Also a skit
towards the end played by Ruth Buzzi as a Mom
pieing her kids in the face for a commercial was
originally used in the "St. Patricks
Day" in the first season of it's sister show
You Can't Do That On Television but
played by Cindy Kennedy who did not perform
nowhere near as well like Buzzi did and was in
rough shape too.
