Just as Mr. Dime introduces the show, Seth Pool comes in, and announces that since he has pulled the studio plug, the "show (that Mr. Dime) hate(s) so much" can't go on the air. Realizing how much money this'll cost him, Mr. Dime sets out to plug the studio plug back in.

After learning about the plug, Ross dismisses the kids but the kids complain cause they aren't getting paid for their time off and they go to the Network Canteen -- a local hangout. When Lois asks why they're there, Christine explains about the studio plug, and Lois offers to give them her sink plug, which, of course, isn't what they're looking for, but it ends up plugging Kevin's mouth up to keep him from talking. Meanwhile, Mr. Dime rushes to the studio and asks a crew member where the kids studio is and then when he arrives plugs the studio plug back in although the socket says danger high voltage, and the kids are herded back in to the studio by Ross and his bullwhip which confuses them cause they were just told that there wasn't going to be a show.

Later, Mr. Dime, thinking the kids show could use some "polish," hires a drama coach (who looks almost identical to another Ruth Buzzi character, Miss Inform) to teach the kids the "finer points of money making." The coach has them speak in Olde English wording. First they start doing some warm ups and Miss Inform tells them to pretend like they're a tree spreading their branches out and a bird is on one of the cast members arm. Then Jono tries very hard to be a tree and transforms into one.

Marc asks Lois for something at the cafeteria and all she had was a breakfast sausage that she used for the sink as a plug since the people at the studio took hers to plug Somers mouth with.

The kids start speaking Olde English cause of Miss Inform. When Christine refuses to do a link to commercials, Mr. Dime has Seth Pool pull the studio plug again so the network can play some commercials. Of course, when they get back, Seth realizes that he's lost the plug. Jono finds the plug when he accidently puts it in Kevin's mouth, thinking it was the sink plug while Keving starts speaking a Shakespearean language. Then they introduce their musical guest Max Webster.

Next Kevin asks Ross to take the plug out of his mouth and Ross charges him 10 dollars in order to do so and so he pays him then Ross takes the plug out and puts it back in as he never told him he'd keep it out and tells him that dumb's the word.
Later on, the drama teacher gives them their graduation certificates and Kevin asks her if she can take the plug out of his mouth and does so but stuffs the certificate in his mouth instead.
Then the kids go to Mr. Dime's office as tell them that they're not doing the program anymore and will be doing Shakepeare at a theatre but Mr. Dime tells them they only pay 10 cents a day and Kevin asks everyone if they should reconsider but Christine denies his comments and then puts the plug back in his mouth. Mr. Dime tells Christine that he will offer her Shakespeare's greatest love stories after the commercial break but however she realises that it's Romeo and Juliet as she acts opposite of Marc who breaks her window and tries to climb up to the top of her patio to come into her window while she tries to get away from him.

Other memorable skits include Lisa Ruddy in the living room skit asking her dad (Played by Les Lye) for a dollar and he told her when he was her age he asked for quarters so she asks for 4 quarters.

Miss Fidt asks Lisa if her father helped her with her homework but she tells her she did it all by herself and so Miss Fidt this time tells her she did a great job (There was a skit in the pilot episode where Elizabeth Mitchell said he Mom did it all by herself when Miss Fidt asked her if her Mom helped her with her homework and told her she got it all wrong).

Ruth Buzzi's character as the old lady in the theatre tells Marc that she's going to get some popcorn and places her drink on his head and tells him to stand very still else the drink will spill.

Ruth Buzzi is in a dungeon as she tells the dungeonmaster that she will never play Monopoly again since she landed on a go jail spot.

Jim Clarke found a full promotional copy of this show in great quality too when CTV was putting the show together and along with the blank spots for the commercial breaks. It also doesn't feature music during the opening or closing credits, even before the commercial breaks and no sounds effects or canned laughter either which was put in later on. The shows in excellent quality and a special thanks to Jim Clarke for going to the CTV storage room to dig this one out.

Also recently found in very good quality, Dan Poirer taped this show when it aired on YTV 20 years ago and in good condition 9 out of a 10 quality.

Max Webster's version of "Paradise Skies" is very different than from the studio version as it sounded like they performed this song live but according to the cast members it was overdubbed like the rest of the bands on the show.

Mike Patton who had a small role as a janitor of some sort while Les Lye's character as Mr. Dime was asking where the kids show is so he can put the plug back in was a regualr for the first season of You Can't Do That On Television.
