" Old Heidelberg"
The Permanent Players
Orpheum
- "The Dance Dream" -the now famous dance novelty devised by Hassard Short the distinguished English actor, and with which he walked away with the honors of the notable "All Star" gambol of the Lamb's club in New York. Mr. Short is known to many Winnipeggers, having been a member of John Drew's company, two years ago. Colt Albertson takes the part played by Mr. Short, himself before the "Lambs", when many of the celebrities of the American stage disported themselves. This is the part of the dreamer, and it calls for some very clever acting. Assisting Mr. Albertson and forming possibly, the major interest of the performance, are six real feminine "types", young ladies specially selected for their graces of face and figure and their dancing ability. These portray the dances dreamed of, dances that really form a short history of the dance from the days of the crinoline to the present. The ladies wear the costumes of the period when each dance was the rage, and naturally this allows of some very gorgeous costuming with stage settings in perfect accord.
- Nellie V. Nichols - Comedienne and songstress
- Keller Mack and Frank Orth in "The Wrong Hero" -song and patter

- The charming young actress, Rosalind Coghlan, (see right) supported by Richard Pitman in "The Obstinate Miss Granger", a one-act play by Edgar Allan Woolf . The plot is simple, but has its dramatic moments, of which all the actors avail themselves to the full. The piece does not gain from some of the dialogue used by the male characters, which seems superfluous to its success.
- "The Four Athletes" -are a quartet of charming and splendidly formed young women who indulge in serial and acrobatic work of a thrilling and unusual kind, and amid the most beautiful of stage settings
- Charlie Brown and May Newman in their "original nonsensicalities" -singing,dancing and a sprinkling of clever patter
- European wheel act by The Heuman Trio -masters of every trick and evolution known on the unicycle, bicycle or tandem. It winds up with an exciting race between the two men of the team, whose fortunes in the race are shown on big indicators attached to the speedometers. The race has proved quite a sensation.
