A welcome back party was held for Caroline Polak-Scowcroft at the home of Lynne Ward on Saturday August 8, 2009. Here are some of the pictures that were taken and as you see everyone was having a good time.
The MSOS (Manitoba Society of Seniors) annual games were held at Oak Point MB on June 24, 2009. The Scrabble tournament was organized by Linda Pearn and Julie Kading. Linda played in the tournament and came away as the winner of the first division, David Smith of Gimli MB was second, and Amy Knight of Brandon MB was third.
On thursday October 26, 2006 the annual 'Pizza Night' was held, hosted by Harold Stone. The evening also was a farewell party for two very valuable members, Caroline Polak Scowcroft and Bill Scowcroft who are returning to Australia.
Three club members, Caroline Polak Scowcroft, Bill Scowcroft and Julie Kading attended the scrabble tournament at the Canada Senior Games held in Portage La Prairie MB August 31 and September 1st. A picture of the winners in Division A here
One of our members, Jarett Myskiw was a big winner at the U.S. Scrabble Open Tournament held in Phoenix AZ this past week (August 4-9, 2006). Jarett placed 3rd out of 88 players in his division. Very well done Jarett
