Wild Plants - June 6, 2010
10am - 3pm.  $50
We will discover the edible, medicinal and poisonous properties of local wild plants.  An important emphasis will also cover ways to learn about and connect with plants.

Coyote Mentoring - Aug 28 - 31, 2009
$295
Coyote Mentoring draws on the wisdom of earth-based cultures around the world.  Gain valuable attitudes and tools for your children, students or yourself. This new/old way draws out the natural desire to learn and empowers both mentor and student. Nature is the teacher; the mentor is the guide.  Humour and open exchange between instructors and participants is important in this course.
Participants will:
  • Experience for themselves how powerful the "cultural context" is in education.
  • Take home powerful images and metaphors to cultivate a supportive learning environment
  • Understand the primary educational styles of the Coyote Mentoring approach and how to use them
Wild Plants - Fall 2009
10am - 3pm.  $50
We will discover the edible, medicinal and poisonous properties of local wild plants.  An important emphasis will also cover ways to learn about and connect with plants. 

Shelter - Fall 2009

10am - 3pm,  $50    

We will explore the ecopsychology of shelter and learn how to build a debris hut "survival shelter".  This is a very important skill if you are ever in a survival situation and it is a great way to connect with the trees.

Firemaking - Fall 2009
10am - 3pm,  $50    
Working with the elemental Nature of fire, we will reconnect ourselves to our primitive ancestors and learn to make fires in the rain and a bow-drill friction fire (rubbing sticks together). 

Family Day
All ages family fun.  
We will play and learn nature awareness and wilderness skills together.

$10/ family and $5 if you bring another family

Nature Awareness
10am - 3pm.  $50
In this workshop we will journey together to rediscover our connection to Nature through discussions, stories, games and challenges. You will:

Wilderness skills intensive

This is six days of learning and practicing ancient skills of survival, living, awareness and community.  You will learn to make fire without matches, forage and hunt for food, make tools from wood and stone, become one with your environment, and more.  You will be expected to discard some modern trappings and begin to depend on your skills and the rest of the Pack.
