Food Fight at the Potluck |

Potluck Challenge Quilt. In the best tradition of Challenges (and Potlucks, too!) this quilt had me sampling some new "flavours" in quilt making. I was intimidated by the clashing fabrics, but with ideas and encouragement from my friend Jane, I found the courage to tackle something wild! I'm delighted with the results of my first attempt at curved piecing. | |
| Source: | Potluck Challenge originates here in the Neighbourhood with the Mystery Quilters. Paper foundations were from Montana Cartwheel commercial pattern. Outer border original paper foundations. |
Fabrics: Fabrics
came from Mystery Quilter friends in a group challenge. I used black fabric
for my"china," and white muslin for the "starch" (white
bread?) I admit to "cheating" slightly, as I used every last scrap
of the challenge fabrics and had to include a few small scraps of solids
or tone-on-tones for some of the bright "teeth" in the border.
