The applique for this quilt was finished during a vacation in September
2003, and set aside waiting inspiration for a way to use it in a quilt
for my best friend Gaye Kurtz. When I discovered that Solomon's
Puzzle is also known as "Wilderness Pathways", I knew
this was a perfect setting to capture the way our friendship has seen
us through the past years of trials, challenges and joys in each other's
lives.
The label on the back of this 14"x 50" banner reads:
His grace is manifested for me, not in straight paths, but in
the friend He gave me for the journey in the wilderness--seeking
together to follow the fire by night.
