The Process

Beginning a web design project can sometimes be confusing. We are glad to work with you to develop an Internet solution that will help your business grow and succeed. It is our goal to make this process as simple and trouble-free as possible for our clients.

PROCESS OVERVIEW

Analysis - The initial phase involves the setting of objectives and goals, a survey of the competition and an idea of your company’s goals for your web site. Proper analysis of a company’s real needs enables appropriate solutions to be proposed in line with established budgets.

Creation - At this stage, the overall concept of the website's presence is established: defining the page look, the navigational ergonomics and the website structure. Content management needs, together with their technological solutions, have already been taken into account for maximum effectiveness.

Feedback - The feedback phase is vital to a professional website. This will ensure accurate representation of your company and be pleasing to you. During production of your site, we will post it on our server with a discreet address, unknown to the rest of the world, so that you can view it online from your home or business. You can watch the development stages of your site as it progresses. Any changes can be done via telephone or email. We go the extra mile by working directly with you from start to finish until we are both satisfied with the final product. Yes, we believe in the philosophy that,"The customer is always right", ... but we still feel it is our responsibility to inform clients as to what will and will not work. We are professionals and give necessary and educated advice when needed.

Launch - The launch phase consists of carrying out final checks in terms of technology and use. Optimizing content for the various search engines and services also involves promotion to target audiences, online submissions, and the necessity of online partnership strategies.

Maintenance - One of the most important aspects of a website’s success is its evolution and maintenance. Updates should be simplified and adapted to customer needs. Analyzing site usage and new marketing opportunities will ensure a permanent competitive edge as markets and technologies evolve.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

1) The first step is to Contact Us. We will discuss your project, the type of business you are in, the goal you want to achieve with your new or redesigned website, and most importantly, the cost. Most websites are built to sell products, expose your business, or convey information so you will most likely fall into one of those categories. We will provide you with a quote with no obligation.

2) If you decide to use our company, we will send you our "Client Package" which includes our agreement, web design process, and questionnaire that will help you get started. In the package, we will also include a written estimate for the total scope of the project. Our agreement is simply ownership and payment which means we require 50 percent down at the beginning of the project and then the remainder due upon completion. The ownership part means that you once you've paid for the website in full, then the site belongs to you and we do not obtain any rights to the graphics or content that we create during the development of the site. Note, we do not lock you into any contracts or long-term commitments.

3) Once we receive the package back and your materials, we then start the design of your home page by taking the materials that you send us, the information from the questionnaire, your verbal input, our competitive analysis, and our professional expertise. We will create some prototypes for you to look over. You can choose from one of these samples or from a combination. If none of the initial prototypes are to your liking, we will use them as a discussion point for a second set of prototypes. Once a design is agreed upon, and all adjustments have been made, we then ask again for another review and the final approval.

4) Once we receive your final approval of the design and layout of the home page, we then start on development of the rest of the site pages.

5) During production of your site, we will post it on our server with a discreet address, unknown to the rest of the world, so that you can view it online from your home or business. You can watch the development stages of your site as it progresses. Any changes can be relayed to us via telephone or email. We go the extra mile by working directly with you from start to finish until we are both satisfied with the final product.

6) The final step in the development phase is a complete proofreading on both of our parts. You will need to double-check our work and your own, and give us a final approval on the site so that we can make any necessary adjustments and update the files on the server.

7) After your final review, we will fine-tune the total site, make sure all graphics are optimized, insert the meta tags, run a hyperlink check, double check the HTML code plus test all scripts and forms, and make sure the site functions properly in all browsers and resolutions. Every effort is made by our team to ensure that the website is error-free. We will optimize your site so the search engine robots can read it at no additional charge. This is one of the advantages in choosing Webweavers to design your website.

8) Once you give us the final approval, we launch the site to your .com or other address on the server. Once it goes live, we then double check all scripts, forms and links, and assist you in setting up your email address if you do not already have one.

9) At the same time we launch the site, we will invoice you for the final amount and the remaining balance is due when you receive the invoice. Unlike some companies that will not upload your site until paid, we know you are anxious to get your site online so we upload it in good faith before the final payment is made.

10) We will provide a “Get Started” marketing plan which includes submission to all major search engines, account setup with the search engines that require it, and directory submissions to directories such as Yahoo and Open Directory. Submissions to all the major search engines are done manually and we monitor your submissions for 30 days. This is done as part of our package and at no cost to you except for search engine indexing fees which are payable to the search engines. For example, Yahoo charges $299/annually to be in their index (subject to change.)
