      Dr.Ito was born in Yilan, Taiwan in 1937.  A doctorate in literature at Tokyo University, he was specialized in the studies of East Asian region and its political history. His other popular books are: "The Biography of Deng Shao-ping", "The Political System of China" and "The Hongkong Crisis" etc.
