This is a very difficult section to do, because I'm sure I'm going to
leave out someone vitally important and wonderful, but just to guard
against that a little, let me first thank:
All of You
Because, as I've said many times, I could not have written this story,
let alone so quickly and so prolifically, if it hadn't been for all the
comments I received on every single installment I posted. You've
spoiled me for writing anything else, you realize ... now, the minute
I've got five pages written of anything, I'm going to be lunging for
the post button on semagic. *loves you all*
And after that ... in random order:
sparktastic
- who came up with the idea with me, hashed out
the plot (over and over again) listened to me gush and whine almost
every day, squealed when I needed it and told me I was being dumb when
I needed that too, never once doubted that I could do this, and was
generally amazing. I've told her before that she's my muse, and
it's completely true.
betrue
- who wrote the most MASSIVE and THOUGHTFUL and HILARIOUS comments on
every damn part. She called me on my shit every single time I
wasn't as good as I could have been, which I love and appreciate more
than I can say. I've just gotten to know her over the course of
writing this story, but I have no intention of letting her go now.
iykwim
- who is my own personal audience. I can always count on her to
laugh at the parts I think are funny and she's helped me out more than
once by audiencing parts when I'm nervous about posting them. She
has great confidence in me, and that's helped a lot.
emrinalexander
- writes the most hilarious and enthusiastic
comments. Love them, they were a highlight of my day.
astrea9562
- consistently wordy and thoughtful feedback, every single
day. She always had an interesting insight on the plot
development and I was shameless enough to steal her ideas over and over
again.
cjandre
- another of my amazing commenters, she's always got the best
psychological insights into the characters, which I have also stolen
and used constantly along the way. She's Lex's therapist, really.
mecurtin
- always there with a wonderfully analytical mind, thinking
of continuity and consistency and generally keeping me on my toes as
I've gone along, which I love.
joyfulgirl41
- it was her idea that I try to post Omiai on a daily basis and I have
to say, she's brilliant. As stressful as the pace could be at
times, I learned a whole lot -- the biggest lesson of which was, just
because I'm not completely certain about something I've written, it's
no reason to stop there.
svmadelyn
- always had a squee and an insight. She's so encouraging and
funny, I looked forward to her reaction every time I posted a part.
I'm not going to list names here, because it would go on for a while,
but everyone who commented on each part as it was posted (there were
about 20 through the course of the whole story) -- thank you thank you
thank you.
