What
happened here, you ask? Well, here's the scoop:
See,
I was watching the first season of Lois & Clark and I was filled
with love for the cliches that they unashamedly use on that show. I was
tempted again and again to write a different fic for each plotline, a
SV fic based on the same cliche. But here's what I did instead:.
I
issued a challenge.
Each
writer/artist received a bare-bones statement (1 or 2 short sentences)
of the Lois & Clark plot cliche. They could rewrite the episode,
using Smallville versions of the characters, or they could totally
twist the premise, the characters, the chronology, and create a whole
new story. There were no restrictions on length or pairing, and the
entrants didn't have to know a single scrap of L&C canon. The only
important part was that the story use the cliche assigned, and that the
characters be from our own beloved Smallville (AU or canon).
In
the end, I got over twenty participants and the stories just keep
rolling in! So peruse the archives at your will and enjoy.
