The Rotary Club of Wawa was chartered in 1961 and over the years has become an integral part of the community fabric of the northern Ontario town of Wawa; populatio 3,600.

A significant activity for many years was the "Snowarama" to raise funds for the Ontario Easter Seals programs to assist crippled children and their families. Snowmobilers pledged money to ride winter trails.

The Wawa Rotary Club operated the Twin Lakes Rotary Community Camp for many years providing a place for camping and recreation for Scouts, Girl Guides, Cadets and family gatherings.

Rotary International Student Exchange has added much to community life bringing the culture and enthusiasm of many nations to Wawa and providing Wawa students with valuable insights into world affairs and people.

The Wawa Rotary Club's contributions to the Rotary International Foundation are a high priority and also the Polio Plus campaign.
