Warmland Calligraphers of the Cowichan Valley is a non-profit group formed to facilitate the exchange of information between calligraphers and to promote interest in and appreciation of calligraphy as an art form within the community. This purpose shall be furthered by making available workshops, classes, exhibitions and lectures on calligraphy and related arts. The Guild is not a charitable organization and is organized exclusively for pleasure, and any profit realized must be used to further the goals of the group without monetary gain to any individual member.
The Warmland Calligraphers of the Cowichan Valley held their inaugural meeting on April 4, 1995. Twelve members were in attendance, the treasury was set up, and annual membership was established at $20.00. We are proud to say that the dues have not increased over the years. These dues entitle members to receive three newsletters a year and defray meeting room rental expenses. **Jean Junor's "Calligraphic Hands"
won the design contest for our Guild's banner in 1999. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER Last Updated: August 19, 2010
