FASTGOLF traded his 15" AVUS for 16" Montreal's with Kumho National 5000's at 215/55/16 for a cost of $125 CDN per wheel in total.

Handling - Big improvement over the 15 inch Avus I was running and
the Khumos, though skepticle have been great tires that stick in wet or dry
with great wear
* Tire noise is very minimal at best

Max Rebo is running OZ Competitions at 17x7.5 with offset et 35. They weight 26 lbs per wheel, 51 lbs with wheel and tire (vs. stock @ 44 lbs wheel and tire.) On his OZ's Max Rebo has Dunlop SP Sport 9000 at 225/45/17 and paid $1800 for the package at discount tire, but had some difficulties dealing with them.

MaxRebo has H&R Coilovers, and H&R front sway and doesn't have any rubbing. Good clearance for 11/3" drilled rotors.

Handling is good, but could be improved a bit with corner-balancing. I also plan to get Autotech F/R swaybras in the spring of '02
Tire Noise is audible if you're really listening, but not very loud or annoying. Actually pretty quiet for a high performance tire.
No problems making the setup work.

Tom Nesh is running Axis SE7 with 225/35/19 Nitto 555's with rear 10 mm spacers. Great handling,, no tire noise.

Handling. Much better ride than stock size even with bigger rims. Had suspension first. Response much improved street and track.
* Tire Noise. Getting noisier, don't care it is a performance tire

9VW23yrs has OZ Superleggera at 17x8 weighing 15.4 lbs each with offset 35 mm. His tires are Sumitomo HTRZ II's at 225/45/17. Handling is awesome and the tires are quiet.

Definitely handles tons better then stock, although the pirelli's had a "lower" sidewall mass that probably sacrificed some ride quality (although I was able to get good miles out
of them). The Kuhmo's were a better buy and a nicer overall look. The rims are bigger in person because the
spokes go all the way to the edge of the rim. Fits perfect.

gtiglxvr62000 has BBS RX wheels at 17x7.5 weighing 19.2 lbs each. Offset is 35 mm. His tires are AVS Sport at 228/45/17 and the total package cost $3100 from Wheel and Tire Zone in Toronto. Suspension is Eibach pro-kit and no rubbing has ocured. Zimmerman cross-drilled with Mintex redbox all-round fit with no problem.
The Yokohamas are an amazing tire. They stick like glue until you reach the limit and the they let go progressively. Confidence inspiring!
Tire Noise Noisier than stock but hardly intrusive.

Iman is running AT Italia Flash Sport 19x* with offset 38. Tires are P7000 SS's at 235/35/19. Setup came from tire rack?

Handles well.....very good grip in both wet and dry.....have not exceeded handling limits yet. Tire Noise - Yes - the Bridgestones are noisy....constant noise at all speeds...will change to a different tire when these wear out to find a quietier tire...
