Cruiser pedals for sale $60.00 U.S. funds
Well, it all started when I bought an original accessory cruiser pedal for my oval window beetle off e-bay. Although I like the look of it, trying to find one that is not beat up and in horrible shape is no easy task.As you can see by these pics, the one I bought was pretty ugly looking.
I decided I would try to make my own as this was just not the quality I wanted in my restoration 55. After a couple of tries I came up with cruiser pedals that look incredible and can be produced at an affordable price.
I had Globe foundry cast some pedals off the original. They came back to me in raw alluminum form.I had some drill jigs made up for precision hole placement, to ensure a smooth functioning pedal--everytime.
Once the holes are drilled, they go off the the polishers to be polished to a mirror shine.Next was the rubber matting. I originally just bought a sheet of matting(the kind you place in the bottom of your toolbox drawers) and cut out the form we needed.I have since had a custom mold made for the matting so I just have to get them poured when I need them (available in black or red matting). The original pedal has a spring that pushes the pivot arm to one side to keep it upright. It took a little bit but I was finally able to find a new spring that worked out just right.
