Life Doesn't Procrastinate

Sometimes
I think I have nothing left to learn.

So many lessons in
such a short time span.

Things getting worse,
then better,
then worse again.

So much good coming out of
so much bad,

but I've never questioned it.
I've never asked, "Why?

What did I do to deserve this?"

I don't wish for much;
there is nothing I can do now.

I touch my face
(I am still here),
plant my feet
(the ground is so welcoming),
tie my shoes
(it's so easy to do),

and trudge on.
