Mother's Day 2008 ... Mom got bossy and told us what to do on HER day
Mother's Day was spent in the Ladner area. First,
we checked out the place where
Dad's work planted a couple hundred trees. Random! Then, we went to the Reifel
bird sanctuary and hung out with ducks and geese. Fun fun.

Pyloning is now a thing of the past for me, but that
doesn't mean I am no longer passionate about it.

The only way Colby can think is when a pylon is stuck up her bum.

Is Mom trying to push Dad? Did Darth Vader cut off her hands??

Canada Geese! Honk honk to you, too.

We hadn't been to the Reifel sanctuary in YEARS.

Kurtis takes in the scenery (he wasn't even born yet the last
time we were there!).

Getting excited about birdseed.

Dad shares a magical moment with a goose.

I think they were mooning us...

A different kind of duck!...known as a shoveler.

A duck and a duckling. So cute!

Let's play a game of Can You Spot the Goose?

Colby re-creates the moment when she slid down the mudbank
and into even muddier water.

I did not go up the scary tower thinger. Instead, I stood around and
waited, looking like a doofus.

Colby, channeling the papparazzi.

A pretty cool looking picture, taken by Kurtis.

Another adorable duckling! Aww.

Why are they standing on one leg?

Mom and Dad re-create the moment that led to Colby sliding down
the mudbank: A bird had (supposedly) crapped in Mom's hair. They
looked away for a moment and Colby was in the muddy water. Woo!
