Hospitals Can Be Fun ... Oh, really? Who knew?
I had a shoulder joint replacement on 30/09/04
due to a cancerous tumour on my humerus.
I stayed in the hospital for two nights, but hey, people came and made it enjoyable.
Yay for cameras!
Day One

Just so you know, Vancouver is a Nuclear Weapons Free Zone.
If you're planning on visiting, please leave your nukes at home. Thanks.

The view from my room was pretty damn awesome. And it was FREE!

There was a helicopter pad in plain view [much to my dad's delight].

I spy with my little eye ... a pylon.

The orthopedic ward was on the 7th floor, so yeah, kinda high.

Christina [Kendall] was there in spirit.

So many lighting options. I could control them from my bed, too. Sweet!

McConnell secretly took a picture of Marie, the lady who shared the room with
me.
She'd had a hip replacement.

Do you want some Jell-O??

Me and my sexy cowboy card having a moment of, er, fun.

It's the secret meeting of the hospital beds. What the heck...?
Day Two

Tina's having fun in the tunnel-like walkway.

A lesson in near and far?
Watch out, McConnell, those crazy ladies behind you might jump you!

Biohazardous materials--in black and white.

Don't drop the soap...

I have no idea what this is. Just make up what you think it is, okay?

Nothing like hospital food. Actually, the chicken [pictured here, if you can
find it] was quite good.

The lemon slices I used to keep from puking. Their lucious, lemony scent didn't
stop me from upchucking--unfortunately.

They gave me a nametag just in case they forgot who I was. Or maybe they got
sick of calling me Shoulder Joint Girl.

Just in case someone stops breathing...

It says "suction" and that scares me.

Scary mouthwash, anyone?

The view of the other side of the building from my window. This building looked
empty, but low and behold a trauma ward patient.

Tina holding up the snazzy green socks I wore. They keep the feet warm and that's
what counts.

They're gazing at each other longingly.

Vancouver at night--and from my window. Sweet view, I tell ya. HOT.
