Shirley's fabs, Banff and Jasper National Parks
August 11-13, 2005.
These are just an assortment of photos from our trip that I took and especially like.

An impressive "castleated" mountain located near Kicking Horse Pass, just across the B.C. border.
Unfortunately I don't remember the mountain's name.

"Did someone say "Lunch"? Guess who dropped in at our picnic lunch? This cute little fellow is
a Columbian Ground Squirrel.

This is Peyto Lake in Banff National Park.

The wildflower "Indian Paintbrush" which comes in varieties of red.

The last rays of sun on a mountain near the town of Jasper.

Wildflowers in bloom in an alpine meadow near Mt. Edith Cavell.

I don't know what the name of this flower is, but there was a lot of them..Aren't they pretty?

A close-up of them.

Sculpted by nature...Athabasca Falls' handiwork and with the moss, just fabulous!

Sculpted sandstone, moss and trees.

Ray asked me to include this one. Taken at the Sumwapta pass, BC.
