Hike to the Lake AgnesTea House .
August 26, 2001.
Shirley, Michael, and I went on the hike to Lake Agnes. The hike (see map) is about 4 km one way with an elevation
gain of about 400 meters. Here are some of the photos we took.

And up the trail we go. This trail has very few level sections. Almost always going up hill...

...but there are always nice spots to stop and rest.

About half way up, looking down at Lake Louise (can you spot the canoes on the lake?).

Mirror Lake is about 3/4's of the way up to Lake Agnes. A really nice little pond but the water level is abnormaly low.

Almost there, can you see the tea house? There is a waterfall just below it.

Lake Agnes in all its glory. The original photos are much better than what you
see. And, being there is definetly better still.

Looking back towards the tea house at the end of Lake Agnes.

Beautiful colors caused by the type of silt in the glacial melt water.

A brief rest in front of the tea house before starting the 50 minute hike down (much easier than the 2 hour hike up).

Ray and Mike.
Hope you enjoyed the photos of our hike. Come up and visit and we can hike this
again with you.
Love,
Ray and Shirley.
