ICOM IC-7000 Quick Release Remote Head Kit

In addition to a separation cable, you will need to order the following five parts from Icom.

Once you have the parts, you'll need to assemble the panel and mount it to a backing plate, which you will need to make.
Then cut that annoying connector off the end of your separation cable, and solder it to the pins on the back of the panel.
After that, epoxy the solder connections and cable entry, add some type of mounting hardware. And you're done.

It's not an easy task, but a creative person with patience, a dremel tool and good soldering skills can accomplish this.

The most difficulty is in making the backing plate, and soldering the wires, as the wire is not very solder freindly.

Below is the color code for soldering the wires on the back of the faceplate holder.
I would STRONGLY recommend checking your own cable, in case changes in production have been made.

Note: I hold no responsibility for any damage done to your transceiver!
