Mike Lee handed out the Code of Conduct from the BCBOA handbook and spoke about the document.

Treasurer’s Report

Al Duddridge reminded everyone to report your travel (driver/passenger) otherwise you'll end up with a 50/50 split of the funds. All refs are to go to the BCBOA website and under "my profile" check the box for "Application for 2010/11" so you are registered.

Allocator’s Report

Milojko commented on the fact that he has had more no shows or too many refs showing up at one venue so far this year than occurred all of last season.

Motion by Bob Whitwell, second by Mike Dupuis that we reinstate the 1/2 game fee penalty for not showing up at an assigned game unlees you have a valid excuse acceptable to the assigner. Motion tabled until next meeting.

Educator’s Report

Jamie Clegg reviewed the rule definitions as they applied to the new rules. A short quiz followed to show how these definitions applied

Night League

Peter Songhurst spoke on a variety of Night League topics.

There is a zero tolerance for jewellery. Medic alert bracelets can be taped or covered with a wristband and pendants can be taped to the chest.

All technical fouls shall be written up prior to leaving the gym.

Forfeited games will be reffed as a scrimmage with the player that do show up.

Conduct "preventative officiating" on t-shirts, shorts, "lost players", screens and presses. While U15/U18 may press, there is to be no double teaming.

During running time, there is NO stoppage of the clock except dureing the last 2 minutes of play.

NEW BUSINESS

Exam

The exam will be written "en masse" again at Cedar Hill Middle School in the Computer Lab. Hot refreshments will be available for all who attend.
