ARTICLE I - DRESS

  1. Prescribed striped basketball officials' shirt;

  2. Black pants, belt, shoes, socks, whistle, and lanyard;

  3. Black C.A.B.O. jacket;

  4. Proper and complete uniform must be worn for assignments above V. & D.A.B.A..

ARTICLE II - CONDUCT

  1. Must maintain a fit level of physical conditioning and appearance.

  2. Must report on time for assignments.

  3. Must maintain clean and prescribed dress.

  4. Must only accept games from the Association allocator.

  5. Must always act in a professional manner so as to enhance the reputation of the Association and its members.

  6. An official should always attempt to act in a calm and courteous manner when dealing with coaches, players, fans, or other officials.

  7. An official cannot let their personal feelings interfere with their decisions or conduct.

  8. An official must treat every game as important and never show disinterest in a game.

  9. An official must always check with the minor officials to reduce errors.

  10. An official must always support his/her partner; discussion should occur away from players, coaches, and fans.

  11. Officials who are watching a game should refrain from commenting on their colleagues who are officiating a game in progress. Neither should officials participate in discussions with players, coaches or fans about any other official or any game call by another official.

ARTICLE III - RENUMERATION

  1. The Allocator/Treasurer shall receive $5000.00 or a percentage (currently 60%) of members' Association dues, whichever is greater.

  2. The Educator shall receive a percentage (currently 15%) of members' Association dues.

  3. From the Education percentage the Educator shall also remunerate the Education Committee according to the type and amount of work done.

  4. The members can adjust the amount of the remunerations, if the duties are not fulfilled according to the description in the Constitution, provided the officer in question has been given due notice to correct the problem.

  5. Remuneration shall be withheld until the Executive has approved duties as complete.

  6. Any materials purchased and kept by the Association will be reimbursed.

  7. The Executive shall receive a percentage (currently 3%) of members' Association dues for the expenses of the Executive. Said percentage shall be set by the membership at the A.G.M.

  1. Allocation of members' dues:

    1. Allocator/Treasurer: 60% or $5000.00, whichever is greater.

    2. Educator/Committee: 15%.

    3. Expenses: 17%.

    4. Executive: 3%.

    5. Balance: 5%.

  2. Said percentages shall be approved by the membership at the A.G.M. each year.

  3. The Executive shall be reimbursed for any approved personal expenses incurred on behalf of the Association.

  4. Expenditures of over $50 must have the approval of the membership, and expenditures of less than $50 must be reported to the membership.
