Plaisirs
Owner: Zora McCool
Petits
Plaisirs is a brothel that caters to nobility, merchants,
politicians, generals, ambassadors and those of means.
It is a three-story manor and boasts a ballroom, casino, private
baths among other things. It is open every evening...from
twilight until three candlemarks before dawn. The girls are
treated with the utmost respect and those insisting on doing
the opposite will be banned for life.
There
are many festivities held at Petits, and if you're lucky,
you may get an invitation to an exclusive party.
Centro
di Imparare Imparziale (The School)
Schoolmistress Silivren Stormhaven.
The School is a sturdy stone building that stands on the corner
of Gate Street in the shadow of the Temple of Cor. It's hours
are from half a mark past sunrise and last until sunset, and
is closed on holidays and Days of Rest. Special hours and
needs can be discussed with the current master. All ages of
children and adult are welcome at the school; age and race
are no barrier. Children as young as four and as old as seventeen
attend regularly. The only prerequisite is that the students
are there to learn and do so willingly. No one who is unwilling
to make an honest attempt is admitted, and this is a strict
policy for both children and their guardians. There is no
fee to enroll in the school, as the Crown provides all necessary
funding.
Tower
of An Còir
Taken
from the phrase 'N an còir meaning 'In Their
Presence', the tower is where only the worst criminals are
held and tried. Trials are presided over by the Lords of Justice,
but to this date only a handful know their identities. They
are chosen by the Crown and everything about them is kept
secret. It is impossible to either enter or leave the tower
without permission. There are no windows and only one way
in or out. Above the only entrance is the phrase Thoir
Taidhe (Take Thy Heed). No guards are seen outside the
tower, but within the halls are patrolled by the Freiceadan
(more commonly called the Shadow Guard). Like the Lords of
Justice, their identities are protected. These men and women
are the best of the best and patrol is sects of five. Each
sect is built based on the individual skills of each members
including weapon proficiency and magic abilities.
