Mias
Human
and Elven folk make Mias their home. Healers and adventurers
often to travel to Mias to seek out the knowledge of the Druids
who make this their home. Where Creachann is an island of
darkness and evil, Mias is everything that is pure a good.
The
two largest cities are Stratdon and Pinewarren. Pinewarren
is home to the many Druids who inhabit the island, and welcome
travelers, merchants, nobles and sailors. With abundant inns,
taverns and lodges, Stratdon has become the most likely spot
for newcomers to settle in and purchase supplies before venturing
into the rest of the island.
Besides
the two largest cities, there are several small hamlets scattered
over the land. Some are friendly and hospitable while others
are weary of strangers.
Separated
by the Granite River lies two great forests. In the north
is Ebon Forest, completely in the care of the wood elves.
Sylvan Wood is also left in the care of sun elves. There is
also a druid's cove in the south of Sylvan Wood.
Because
of the powerful magic and purity of the island, it is home
to may fey creatures, though rarely are they seen by the likes
of men. Those who venture from the roads and paths may find
themselves caught in a net of trickery and pranks by these
tiny, merry beings.
Mias
has grassy knolls and low hills throughout. Swamps are in
the centre meeting point of the Granite River. There are rare
herbs and flowers on the island of Mias. This is why many
see Mias and Dalton as sibling lands. There are many things
in common between the two.
On
the north eastern shores of Mias are plains. Many have not
traveled across these plains and those who have were never
seen again. There are stories of pirates treasure being buried
there. Some even speak of sand dragons and fire lizards who
protect these treasures.
There
is a fortified wall around the northern, eastern and southern
coastlines of Mias. Connecting these walls are five towers
which contain garrison and are fully guarded. They were built
two hundred years earlier to protect the mainland from raiders.
To this day, the raiders still come each spring and attack
the islands.
