Creachann

Creachann is the Dark Island. Recently an event occured that plunged the island into darkness. No one knows exactly what happened, and those sent to investigate never returned.

Those who managed to escape the island returned with tales of fell creatures inhabiting the island. Some have spoken of a mad man sacrificing women and the awakening of the Great Wyvern. Only two town remain safe; Bray Harbour and Windbarren. Blackshire has become a town infested by evil, and Runebrer has been reduced to ruins.

Notible Towns and Landmarks

Blackshire: The town of Blackshire was so name for the rich black soil and ebony forests. During the day, the town appears as normal as any other, but by night the people undergo a change, and become werecreatures. If one isn't careful, they will fall victim to the curse and find themselves changing with the rising of the room be it full or not.

Bray Harbour: Bray Harbour was once the centre of trade for the islands and the lands beyond the sea. Heavily fortified, the town survived the darkness that befell Creachann, and is now the only truly safe refuge. Ships still sail to and from Bray Harbour, but at a great price.

Circle of Stones: The Circle of Stones was once a focal point of power sought out by druids and those who practice elemental magic. Now it is said women are being sacrificed there. Having been used for nefarious means, the power that now flows from the circle is tainted and will infect those of good or neutral alignment.

Darkwood: This great forest is thick and difficult to navigate. Since the island fell, the paths have become neglected and overgrown. ordinary plantlinfe have become tainted by the evil that surrounds the island and now has a life of its own. These plants are now sought out for their unique properties, but those who travel there, do so at their own risk.

Great Wyvern's Cairn: This great mountain is home to not only an ancient wyvern, but a powerful Djinn. With the falling of the island, the wyvern has awakened to protect the Djinn and its hoard of wealth. Adventureers seeking the Djinn and the one wish bestowed should do so with caution, for there is always a catch.

Grigori's Mansion: Grigoria was a wealthy merchant who litterally owned the entire island. Wealth and influence covered up a dark secret. Grigori saw those from Cordaire as the master race and all others lesser creatures. He kept a human zoo that housed not only people of vsarious races, but humanoid creatures rarely seen by men. The creatures of the zoo were freed and rumoured to have killed Grigori. Now they roam the land, and the forests around the mansion are home to deadly wraiths.

Runebrer: Once used to house and provide supplies for the men who fought valiantly upon the wall, Runebrer now lies in ruins. It is almost as if it was destroyed hundreds of years ago and not recently, for everything has decayed rapidly. The ruins are both cursed and haunted. Beware the shadows, for death lurks where the light doesn't reach.

Windbarren: This town is the only other one that still is inhabited by men. It is fortified against the creatures of the island and provides a safehaven for those who manage to make it there. Ships rarely sail to Windbarren, but if you're lucky, someone will help you for a price.
