Stance
The right handed bowler begins with most of the weight on the right
foot. The ball is held in a relaxed grip directly in front of the
bowler. |

Step
1 - Push away
Also called the drop away, the bowler moves the ball away from the
body, straightening the right arm. The left foot moves forward
simultaneously.

2 - Backswing
As the bowler begins the second step, the straight bowling arm begins
to swing the ball back.

Top
of the Backswing
At the top of the backswing the ball should be even or a little bit
higher than the shoulder. The shoulders are forward in line with the
front knee. |

The Slide - The Stroke
As the left leg comes forward in a slide, the right arm
accelerates forward through the release in a forward movement call the
stroke. |

Follow Through
The arm is smoothly accelerating when the ball is released
and the arm continues its motion finishing in a follow through. |

The elbow of the bowling arm should be at least as high as
the shoulder and the trailing (back) leg should be in contact with the
floor. |
