Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies

These make fairly flat, chewy cookies -- they spread out a lot on the cookie sheet so be sure to space them well.

  1. Cream 1 cup softened marg. or butter with 1 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup white sugar.
  2. Add 2 eggs and 2 tsp. vanilla.
  3. Gradually add 2 cups flour (less 2 tbsp.), 1 tsp baking soda and 1 tsp salt.
  4. Finally, add 2 cups chocolate chips.
  5. The dough should be fairly soft. Spoon onto cookie sheets about 1" apart. Bake at 350°F for about 10 min. Makes about 3 doz.
