As popular as this series is (manga and anime) (ok, not too well known in North America even with Case Closed ~_~), there
hasn't been a whole lot of merchandise. There was some done in 1996 (first year of the anime),
there's always comic fair items made each year (can only get at the special events) and always some
merchandise is created for each movie (one movie each year, last 10 years). There were more items
out in 2001 since it was the 5th anniversary for the anime, but overall it's nothing in comparison to other
big hit anime (Sailor Moon, Card Captor Sakura, Prince of Tennis...). 2006 being 10th anniversary there has been a BIT more in new goods
but still no new card sets since the movie collection cards in 2001 ~_~

Trading Cards

Except for the card game done in 1999, "Mischievous Elves", all the card sets (that I'm aware of)
were all done in 1996. Well, that was true! Amada did 2 card sets focussing on the first 5 movies: Collection 1 came out in Jan and Collection 2 in April, 2002.

And now, much, much later, with the 12th movie release in April , 2008 in Japan, a new trading card set based only on the movies has come out but it's a gum card set.

Collection Card Gum: Movie Set (by Ensky): April, 2008: 12 SP, 45 regs
You get 2 regs and one special in each foil pack plus a piece of gum. There are 12 packs in one box.

3 boxes and was still short 10 cards from a reg set ~_~
2 more boxes got in ... and STILL 2 regs I didn't get (12 & 40).

SPs: 1-910-12 Regs: 1-91-9 back of, 10-1819-2728-3637-454 and 8 (front and back), 15,19,22,29,33,42

Collection Card Gum 2: by Ensky: March 2, 2009: 56 card set. 4 different images with 13th movie theme.
No, not a card set! It's 4 jigsaw puzzles. And I ordered 2 boxes so have plenty of extras.
