Tricia Syz was born in Edmonton, Alberta and grew up in Drayton Valley, Alberta. Her first and most positive influence for her artistic endeavours came from a mother whose passion was painting. “My mother was a perpetual optimist and I believe that it was her generosity of spirit that allowed the artist in me to be realized.” Her paintings explore her belief that ‘life is simple if you let it be’ and that our thoughts and beliefs strongly influence our daily lives. She likes to share that view in her work be it images of the landscape or people around her. The color energy that all of her paintings exude are a representation of the joy that she knows can be found in all of her surroundings. Tricia is an Active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, and the Window on Art art group. Her work is represented by Fosbrooke Fine Arts in Penny Lane in Calgary.
