In total, 37,800 Toyota Cavaliers were produced:

1996 10,929
1997 9,000
1998 8,843
1999 6,000
2000 3,028

All 37,800 Toyota Cavaliers were built in the GM Lordstown Plant in Ohio, on the same production line as the Chevy Cavalier and Pontiac Sunfire. Toyota Cavaliers were not produced in Coahuila, Mexico or Lansing, Michigan.

Despite more than 1,000 Toyota dealers selling the Cavalier, sales were dismal at best. I guess the Japanse buyers didn't understand the word "recall"? Ha ha, just kidding :)
