The Secret Garden Club is a new club at Sir Winston Churchill Secondary. It was founded in 2008 by two artistic girls who wanted to create colorful decorations as well as make a difference in the world. Today, the club is up and running with a total of 15 determined members ranging from 13 to 16 years of age.
The main goal of the Secret Garden Club is to create silk flowers from wire, cloth, and elbow grease. Not only can members take their flowers home, they may also choose to donate them to the club. Donated flowers are sold on special occasions such as Valentines Day at school. Money raised goes to SGC's chosen charity: Free the Children.
