History Stated with a chance happening at Ralph's in North Hollywood. Ian and Duncan were both buying groceries there. Duncan invited Ian to hear him play at Scotland Yard. Part way through the set Duncan invited Ian up to play Rock n Roll Love Letter with him. It was later when Devora was trying to arrange some gigs for Ian's band the Babysitters that she called later to say it would be a great idea to have gigs with Ian and Duncan. At this point Ian and Duncan got together. Recruiting Joe Stefanelli and Eric Lannon. The Joybuzzers were hit by lawsuits early on as promoters advertised them as the Bay City Rollers. The judge dismissed the case as the band never referred to themselves as Bay City Rollers it was always the promoters. With the case behind the band performed in San Fransisco where MTV showed up to tape the concert. Over 1500 showed up for the concert. Over 4000 showed up in LA. The band eventually split as a record company wanted Duncan as an artist but not the rest of the band.
