Born Dec 20, 1949 As an Engineer at EMI Alan Parsons worked on the final Beatles LP Abbey Road. Later he worked on several Wings releases. Next he worked on Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. He also worked with Al Stewart, The Hollies, Cockney Rebel and Pilot. Finally he formed with Eric Woolfson the Alan Parson's Project. All of Pilot worked with the Project including two ex-Bay City Roller members David Paton and Billy Lyall.

Met Eric Woolfson at Abbey Road Studios and together started to write music together.Several concept albums were released starting with Tales of Mystery and Imagination which was supposed to be thier only release. This was an adaption of Edgar Allen Poe's work.

I Robot was based on works by Issac Amisov. In fact the title came from one of Asimov's books.

Pyramid was about mystisism and pyramid power. Eve looked at relations with women. The Turn of A Friendly Card reviewed gaming and the role of fate in society. Eye in the Sky looked at 80's surviellance and modern high tech.
