The logging camp
Our logging area consists of four modules which form an inside corner, or a three module straight section.
This set of modules can operate as a stand-alone switching area, or as part of the larger layout.
Here is the switchback that allows the logging camp access to the main line. Below
is the logging railroad's maintainence shops and engine house.
At the other end of the logging camp is a small locomotive servicing area, complete with scratchbuilt water, coal, and sand towers.
Shay #3 hauls a string of log buggies back to the bush for re-loading.
Meanwhile Shay #7 switches logs into the mill.
The crew has spotted this tank car at the water tower for loading, before taking it back into the bush.
Here is the lumber mill.

Logs being delivered, ahead of the Manitou Midland's luxurious caboose.
A load of supplies for the mill's shop.
A few logs come in by truck, but not enough to threaten the railroad.
