COLORADO PRAYER

In the wake of the Colorado shootings the religious communities  scheduled a day of prayer. Maybe it would have been  more productive if they scheduled a day of kindness instead.

Maybe they would realize that God is not waiting for them to turn to him but to turn to one another.

Muslims should have to pray to Jesus, and Christians should have to pray to Allah. Jews should have to pray to Krishna and Hindus to Jehovah.

Then they would all learn the shocking truth that it is all the same. The years they have spent killing one another and separating people from them as unsaved or infidels, would come to an end, as they realize that their very own doctrines of God have been the cause of the violence and separation.

God does not need their prayers, but people do need their kindness . When they touch one another with love then they will have touched God with prayer.

Someday God may be more important then religion and all the world will be at peace.
