In June 2003 we did a tour of Eastern Canada and were able to visit Bethel in Georgetown, Ontario on June 19.
We had called ahead and were able to secure lunch reservations with the Bethel family that day. When we arrived
there were seven bus loads of brothers and sisters visting from the United States and Europe. Over 500 were
to tour that day. They were all in Toronto for the international convention and spent the day visiting Bethel.
So we had a lot of company. There were so many visiting that there were not enough Bethelites to handle all the tours.
So what happened was a rare event indeed, all the facilities were open to self guided tours. You would follow the
signs and go pretty well where you pleased (within reason, some areas were roped off for safety and privacy reasons).
It was a very pleasant day to be able to spend time with brothers from all over the world in Bethel.

These photos are meant to compliment the photos from our last visit that you can see on another page of this web site.

The warehouse was set up to offer a free lunch to all the visitors. The cafe in the background was very busy
with snacks and drinks, including fresh squeezed apple juice from the trees grown right on the Society's property

Everyone who toured that day would get a small fridge magnet shaped like a Bible. All the Bethelites helped in
putting them together. It was a nice gesture on their part and a nice keepsake.

The brothers a had set up a little area where you could pose in front of an old style street scene and have a photo
taken with an old placard and magazine bag. Instructions were also provided for scanning the photo and making
it a sepia photo so it would like it was taken years ago. Neat.
