MINUTES FROM OCTOBER 14TH 2006 DIVISION D. BUSINESS MEETING

Old Business:

Curtis Harvie gave a recounting of April's Meeting in Prince George.
Anne Clayton made a motion to accept the minutes and Maureen
McKay seconded the motion.  Carried

New Business:

Area 41 - has completed two of five club visits and will be visiting  the
next three over the next few weeks. There is a concern over membership
and plans to run contests to increase interest are underway.  A full report
was handed in.

Area 42 - Not present but passed on word that they are
pleased to have all accounts in.

Area 45 - Club officers are finished training in only one club.  The are
problems with lack of membership in some of the other clubs, as well
as problems getting he clubs to complete their forms as requested.
Communication is being worked on.

Area 48 - All clubs except her own have been officially met with and
all but Fort Nelson has underwent officer training, but Fort Nelson is
nearing completion of that right now.  Due to small memberships in
the two Fort St. John clubs, there are plans underway to look at
merging the two.

Area 49 - Membership is dropping but a poster campaign is underway.
There have been some frustrating problems with club communication,
but will persist diligently in hopes of resolving these concerns.

Area 41 offered to host spring officer training.

A recognition was given by all to the Governors in attendance.

The next meeting was proposed for sometime between April 14th
and April 21rst 2007.  A call for a club to host the meeting has not
yet been answered.
