AREA 42 BUSINESS MEETING

CHAIRPERSON: Marie Herger, Area 42 Governor

MINUTES: Adopted as read.

OLD BUSINESS:

• Marie asked for nominations for Area 42 Governor for the upcoming term (2006-2007). Chuck Reynolds, Simon Rose, and Bev Badowski were nominated but all declined. John Baragar volunteered but withdrew when Shawn Everett accepted the nomination. Shawn Everett was elected by acclamation as the Area 42 Governor for 2006-2007. One vote was entered to that effect.
• Marie gave a short description of the Area 42 Governor as requested: Attend club visits twice a year: Hart, City Centre, New Dimension, Cariboo. Conduct Area Conferences twice a year. Attend District Conferences and business meetings twice a year.

• Shawn relayed a message from Curtis Harvie, Division D Governor, who congratulated Area 45 as being the only area in Div. D that had all clubs pay their semi-annual dues and fulfill their officer training requirements.
