Comfortable as ever - Just to let you know we got back from the Golden Sun yesterday and enjoyed our week as usual. We found the accommodations as comfortable as ever. Happy New Year - We're 2 families that have rented accommodations over Xmas/New Year's at Whistler, Sunpeaks or Silverstar for about 13 years now and we all agreed the townhouse was one of the best we've ever been at. The layout was exceptionally good. There was a relatively large area with benches to put on and take off boots. The living room had lots of seating, the hot tub was in a completely private location and there were 3 full bathrooms. Having a garage for one vehicle was very useful since one of the families had 2 small children (they got use out of the Disney VHS tapes too). The kitchen was also better equipped than most places we've been at and yes, we've spent more money on accommodations in the past so this wasn't a matter of cost. Perfect for our needs - Hello Teresa: We had a wonderful time and the Golden Sun was perfect for our needs - one family with three kids plus in-laws. The kitchen is well laid out and has all the tools we needed. We have small kids who loved playing in the snow behind the townhouse. The double garage was a bonus as well. The Silver Queen was easy to access as were the cross country trails. We are mostly a cross country family and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the Silver Star trails. Photos do not do it justice - I would like to say that we had a wonderful time at The Golden Sun and Silver Star. The accommodation was much bigger and better than we expected, the photos on your web site do not do it justice. The hot tub, after a full days skiing was just what was needed. On your web site you mention that the best way back from the slopes was from the Silver Queen chair, we found this to be the best place to start the day from as well. For two families sharing I think that your house was just right. I will definitely be recommending you and Silver Star to anyone thinking of going to Canada skiing. Best in Canada - Thank you very much for letting us rent your chalet at Silver Star. We all thought it was fantastic and very comfortable and would definitely stay there again. The snow was great for our week and we all voted that our stay at The Golden Sun and the ski-ing at Silver Star was the best we had in Canada. It snowed the day we arrived and we then enjoyed lovely clear sunny days for the rest of the week. We all loved the spa after a hard days ski-ing. We All voted it the best condo yet. We had our 4 kids (15-22) 2 other boys (24) as well as Terry and I (who are 51). We all voted it the best condo yet.....and we've done Panorama, Sun Peaks, Big White, Mont Tremblant....and Whistler. We loved the space, great kitchen, the hot tub (the nintendo!). The view was lovely too, and it was so bright & cheerful. Can't think of anything negative to say, they even skied on the first day (when it was -18 degrees). Happy New Year 2005! We have just rung in our 7th New Year at The Golden Sun. Your fabulous winter home is very much part of our family's new year tradition and has provided much enjoyment over the years. The snow was tremendous and the Silver Star ambiance enchanting as always. During the week we had some sun, the smell of sunscreen, the alpine and smokies on the bbq, wonderful full moon walks, some snow storms and first tracks. Over the ten years-going to Silver Star - We had a great vacation! Two other couples joined my wife and I and our two girls aged four and six. Over the 10 years I have been a part of 'the gang' (has varied in size) going to Silver Star, we have stayed in numerous places. In the village, the knoll, or the north side, your unit has been one of the better facilities we have stayed at. We were all very pleased with "The Golden Sun". The layout of the unit worked very well and having three washrooms was a bonus. We all enjoyed the hot tub including the girls, they especially enjoyed the VCR as we brought some of their movies.
