More Information about The Golden Sun, providing family lodging on Silver Star Mountain.

Housekeeping - is provided prior to arrival and after departure.

  Parking - There is parking for one vehicle in the private secure garage. It is heated to accommodate repairs and maintenance of equipment. There is one outside parking stall directly in front of the front door.  For additional vehicles there is parking in the overflow parking lot at Silver Star Village.

Telephone - there is a telephone in the living area and in the master bedroom.  For long distance calls please use your calling card.

  Fireplace - the natural gas fireplace is located in the living room.  The mantle and mirror wood is carved with a golden sun motif.

        Deck and Hot Tub - there is a six person hot tub and BBQ on the covered deck. Extra large hot tub towels are provided. In the summer time there is a patio table and chairs on the uncovered deck. An Alpine Garden is being created off the deck.

Ski In/Out - walk 1 minute to a trail that leads to the Comet Six Pack Express and a 3 minute walk from the top of Silver Queen Chair home.

Walk, Drive and Transit - the Golden Sun is located at the top of the Knoll, in the Silver Queen Mews town house complex. The walk to the top of the Silver Queen Chair is about three minutes.  The walk to the centre of Silver Star village (restaurants etc.) takes about ten minutes. The Golden Sun is within a 3 minute walk of any other Upper Knoll accommodation.

The drive (to Vernon), to lake beaches and golf courses takes 20-35minutes.  The nearest lake is Kalamalka, described by National Geographic as the lake of many colors.  It is a breathtaking site and an aquatic playground.  Vernon hosts a variety of golf courses, but the course with the most notoriety is Predator Ridge which is approx. 60 minutes away.  There are over 35 golf courses in the Okanagan Valley.
