Thanks to the Following Volunteers and Sponsors
It is important to note that we appreciate all the support from any individual or business. Without sponsors and individuals, our Mission would not be able to be fulfilled. We are a community. It is so wonderful when complete strangers can meet and make a difference in someone else’s life. Some pet owners have even told us that after adopting their pet, they did not save or rescue their pet…… in fact, they feel as though their pet actually rescued them. Thank you everyone for stepping up to the plate and for making a difference.
November 2011 - We would like to thank an Anonymous Donor
for providing TAAG with the Appreciation Certificates
which are proudly distributed to our Business Sponsors and Volunteers.
Pet Valu Lends a Major Helping Hand to TAAG
July,
2011 - Thanks to Pet Valu, many homeless and stray animals that have come
into the care of TAAG have found new loving homes. Along with housing many TAAG
kittens available for adoption, Pet Valu has also donated funds to further the
cause. Pictured is Joy, one of the TAAG volunteers, accepting a generous cheque
of $1,005.00, from Rebecca, the owner of the Pet Valu stores. Pet Valu promoted
a Paw Print to sell to customers for a cost of $1 back in April and they were
able to raise funds for this donation with the generosity of their loyal customers
and the assistance of staff. Big Thanks to You!

The
staff at Pet Valu are all great. I have been in the store when customers have
come in looking for products to help pet owners deal with the health or behavior
concerns that arise, and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and offer customers
many alternatives and ideas to help get a pet back on track when something has
gone amiss. For instance, I never knew that you could put something in the cat
litter, that actually attracts a cat to their litter box to do their business,
not that I can remember what it was (I think it was green tea leaves). I will
have to call them and ask about it again. The customer was very excited to try
something natural, to get their cat back into the habit of getting back to the
litter box. I asked them about something for my cat’s skin allergies, and was
introduced to Dr. Maggy’s Cream, which was inexpensive and easy to use. Now I
do not have to take my cat to the vet, and save getting a large bill just for
a simple skin irritation.
Katherine McCray of Our

Thanks for the great discount
on much-needed litter and cages.
Liquidation Flooring has helped us in so many
ways, with their donations of carpet ends and flooring pieces. With these supplies,
we were able to recover damaged cat trees and cat furniture. We were also able
to lay proper floors in the bottoms of all the cages. The improvements mean more
comfort and more play areas. Thank you Liquidation Flooring for your ongoing support
of TAAG.
Habitat ReStore on Northern Avenue has been
providing us with hardware and hinges, sticky floor tiles, and other assorted
items that helped in making repairs in the shelter itself. Because we survive
and exist solely on donations from the community, it is wonderful when we can
use recycled or low cost materials, to make repairs. By getting low cost materials,
the money or donations TAAG receives can go directly to food/litter, Vet bills,
medicine, flea treatments, and other items that are needed to keep our cats and
kittens healthy. Thank you for your generosity and your ongoing support!
Salvation Army gives us damaged bedding, towels,
dented canned cat/dog food, pillows, blankets, opened dog biscuits, dry cat and
dog food and sometimes toys for the animals.
Pat Andrews and staff from Pet Food warehouse on Second
Line helps us with outdated cat/kitten food, or pet food that customers
have returned.
Garson’s Kennels have helped out with our
rescued dogs and pups, and assisting in finding their forever homes.

Note from the President: The
holiday season of 2010 was full of giving and good cheer. The Animal Assistance
Group would like to thank Paul
Grimard, Owner / Manager Extreme
Tattoo and Photography
for his photography services again this year. We would also like to thank TSC
Inc. on Great Northern Road for providing the space for our Santa Pet Pics
this year. We also give a great big thank you to the staff at Pet
Valu on Second Line and
their customers for their donations of cans of cat food. You have helped the cats
immensely. There has been so much generosity from many people; there are too many
to name. Thank you to everyone who has donated throughout 2010, whether it was
your time, food, litter, money, bedding or just spreading the word to help find
homes for the many homeless cats that come our way. The citizens of Sault Ste
Marie have helped TAAG tremendously and we hope to continue to receive your support.
Thanks to everybody who helped while we were set up at the Station Mall Saturday
July 24, 2010 in front of La Senza with our display and kittens / cats. Thanks
for the generous donations. Special thanks to the volunteers who make these events
possible.
Thanks to all the people who helped
to make the garage sale of July 2010 a success by donating and supporting this
fundraising TAAG event. Special thanks to all the volunteers who helped out, getting
sunburned in the process. Special thanks to Kirby and Joy for their help and support
in allowing us to have the garage sale at their place and for picking up donations
and storing the items for the garage sale.
Thanks to everyone involved in the Spay and Neuter Blitz of April, May, and July
of 2010
Note from the President: I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one personally for helping out and spreading the word for TAAG. If it weren't for people like you, TAAG would not be able to help the homeless animals as much as they do now. Thank goodness for all the devoted and caring volunteers and sponsors. TAAG is a team of volunteers that make events like this successful. We work for the animals, to stop the overpopulation of many unwanted kittens and cats. THANKS to all volunteers who supported us and helped out. It is because of you that many cats got spayed or neutered and will not be able to reproduce. THANKS AGAIN EVERYBODY, VOLUNTEERS AND DONORS ..... This was an opportunity to put a real dent in the pet overpopulation problem in this area.
During the month of April 2010, the Fundraising Group at the North East Community
Care Access Centre had dress down Fridays to raise funds for TAAG.
Thanks very much to this generous group for raising much needed funds to help the homeless animals.
