Canned Food Drive with Pet Valu - December 2011
TAAG and Pet Valu would like to thank their loyal supporters and customers for their ongoing generosity. During the month of December 2011, both locations of Pet Valu, Second Line and Cambrian Mall, hosted a canned food drive. The customers and staff of Pet Valu purchased approximately 1,200 cans of food to help support the homeless cats and kittens for The Animal Assistance Group and the Sault Ste Marie Humane Society. There were also donations by several individuals of dry food, treats, and toys made directly to TAAG.

TAAG is a small, not for profit organization. One of TAAG's goals is to assist individuals in gaining access to lower cost spay surgery and neuter surgery to lower the cat overpopulation problem in this area. We rescue stray animals, giving them a warm and safe environment to live in until they are able to find their forever homes with loving families. TAAG is funded completely through the generosity of donations from the community.
We
have many homeless cats who are already spayed/neutered/vaccinated and available
for adoption, as well as some kittens aged 12 weeks and over who are not quite
old enough to be spayed or neutered yet, but who have received their vaccinations.
