Lorraine  Valley  Workshop
(Index Page)

Welcome to the Workshop

Step right on in.  There are no secrets here.  While we do not always tell you the best way of doing things, we do explain the methods that work for us.  And they should work for you.  If you have any comments, suggestions or questions, please feel free to speak up.  After all, we are all here for the same thing  -  to get the maximum enjoyment out of our model railroads.

Most of the articles linked below were written with H0 scale in mind.  After all, the Lorraine Valley & James River Railway is an H0-scale layout.  But many of the ideas can be carried over into other scales.  If you do something similar in another scale or have an easier or better way of doing things, please send us some photos and a few words that we can add to the original article.

Lastly, this is not a commercial website!  The only items we may offer for sale are items that are not available from any other source and may not be practical for most model railroaders to make themselves.  Even then the items are priced to cover just cost and shipping  -  there is no profit involved.
